Accra — Ghana has commissioned its first helium-free MRI system as HealthTech Ghana Limited, in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, inaugurates a state-of-the-art Diagnostic Centre at 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
The facility houses the Philips BlueSeal MRI, a global innovation with helium-free technology that lowers costs, improves sustainability, and ensures reliable, high-quality imaging.
The centre is set to expand access to advanced diagnostics for both military personnel and the public, reducing the need for costly overseas referrals.
Prudential Bank, bankers to HealthTech Ghana Limited, has congratulated the company on the achievement.
Commenting on the feat, Executive Head, Corporate and Institutional Banking, Edward Commey, said: “We celebrate HealthTech Ghana Limited, our valued customer, on this historic milestone. The launch of Ghana’s first helium-free MRI and Diagnostic Centre is a bold step for healthcare in Ghana. At Prudential Bank, we are proud to provide banking solutions to visionary businesses that are transforming lives and building national capacity.”
The collaboration between HealthTech Ghana and the Ministry of Defence reflects the power of public-private partnerships in closing critical gaps in healthcare infrastructure.
For Prudential Bank, the milestone underscores the Bank’s commitment to partnering with businesses that drive innovation and deliver lasting impact across Ghana.
