Prudential Bank and its Managing Director, Bernard Gyebi picked up two prestigious awards for their outstanding leadership and commitment to customer satisfaction at the 5th National Governance and Business Leadership Awards held in Accra.
The Bank won the Customer Happiness Leadership Award – Banking category, while Mr. Gyebi was adjudged Transformational Banking CEO of the Year, 2025.
Reacting to the double win, Mr. Gyebi expressed his delight and gratitude, saying, "We are thrilled to have received these awards, and we would like to dedicate this achievement to our valued customers, without whom we would not have achieved this feat. Your loyalty and trust in us have driven our success, and we are committed to continuing to deliver exceptional experiences for you."
The awards ceremony, organized by The Governance & Business Boardroom, publishers of The Boardroom Magazine, recognizes and celebrates excellence in leadership and corporate governance.
The event was graced by Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ghana Government, who was the special guest of honour.
A high-powered delegation from the Bank, led by the Executive Head of Retail and Commercial Banking, Ebow Quayson and Executive Head, Corporate and Institutional Banking, Edward Commey received the awards on behalf of the Bank.
This is not the first time Prudential Bank has been recognized for its customer satisfaction. The Bank has been a serial winner of these awards in the past including CIMG 2023 Best Bank in Customer Satisfaction - Consumer Banking; CIMG 2023 five-star bank in Customer Satisfaction - Business Banking and CIMG 2023 Five-star bank in Service Quality - Business Banking. The CIMG earlier in 2021 and 2022 adjudged the Bank a 5-star quality service provider.
Other awards in the customer experience category include Best Bank in Retail Banking in the KPMG Customer Experience Survey 2024 and 3rd Best Bank in SME Banking in the KPMG Customer Experience Survey 2023
In 2022, the Bank won the Emerging Digital Bank of the Year award by two different awarding institutions; Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA) & ICSA Connected Banking West Africa.
