Prudential Bank Honours Workers on May Day with Renewed Commitment to Diversity, Innovation, and Excellence

Prudential Bank has joined the rest of the nation to celebrate Ghanaian workers on this year’s May Day, using the occasion to reinforce its allegiance to the values that define its workplace culture: integrity, teamwork, respect, excellence, passion, innovation, and diversity.

The Bank acknowledged the dedication of its employees across all branches and the critical role they play in delivering dependable banking to customers nationwide

In a statement to mark the day, the Acting Managing Director of Prudential Bank, Ebow Quayson, paid tribute to the resilience and hard work of Ghanaian workers, particularly those in the financial services sector. He noted that the Bank’s growth over the years has been driven by staff who embody the very values the institution holds dear.

Labour Day is not just a holiday; it is a moment to reflect on the hands that build our nation. At Prudential Bank, we are proud of a workforce that lives integrity daily, works with passion, and constantly pursues excellence.

Our people are the reason we remain truly dependable,” Mr. Quayson said. He emphasised that the Bank’s commitment to innovation and diversity has created an environment where every employee can contribute meaningfully.

The Head of Human Resources, Lilian Antwiwaa Asante, added that the Bank’s values are not just words on a wall but are woven into recruitment, training, performance management, and day‑to‑day interactions.

She explained that teamwork and respect are particularly visible in how staff across departments collaborate to solve customer problems and support one another.

“When we say we value respect, we mean it,  from how we address a colleague to how we handle a customer complaint. When we talk about passion, we see it in the teller who greets every customer with a smile, even on a busy Friday. May Day is a celebration of that spirit,” Mrs. Asante stated.

She further noted that Prudential Bank has made deliberate efforts to promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring that staff from different backgrounds, genders, and abilities feel valued and empowered. “Innovation thrives in diverse teams, and our workforce is a testament to that. We are building a bank where every voice matters,” she added.

Across all branches, staff were acknowledged through various gestures of appreciation, with the staff  further highlighting how teamwork and respect have made Prudential Bank a supportive place to grow their careers.

As the nation marked International Workers’ Day, Prudential Bank’s message was clear: the Bank’s success is built on the shoulders of its people, and those people are guided by values that stand the test of time. “When our staff thrive, our customers thrive, and Ghana thrives.”Mr. Quayson concluded
