PBL Recognised for Digital Excellence at Money Aura Summit – MD and CIO Share Insights on Key Panels

Prudential Bank Limited has been recognised for its devotion to digital innovation and customer service excellence after receiving the Excellence in Digital Customer Experience Award at the 2026 Money Aura Summit.

Adding to the Bank’s success, the Acting Managing Director, Mr. Ebow Quayson, was honoured with the Best Retail Banker of the Year Award, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contribution to retail banking and customer-focused financial services.

Receiving the awards on behalf of the Bank, Mr. Quayson dedicated the recognition to employees, customers and stakeholders who have contributed to Prudential Bank’s transformation journey.

“These awards reflect the collective efforts of our employees, the confidence our customers continue to place in us and our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional banking experiences. We remain focused on leveraging innovation, partnerships and technology to make banking simpler, more accessible and more rewarding for our customers,” he said.

Earlier at the summit, Mr. Quayson participated in the CEO Visionary Panel on the theme “West Africa’s Digital Finance Reset: Profitability, Inclusion and Growth in an Unpredictable Economy.” 

During the discussion, he advocated stronger collaboration between banks and fintechs, describing partnerships as key to accelerating innovation, expanding financial inclusion and delivering better customer experiences. 

He also highlighted Prudential Bank’s digital transformation journey and stressed the importance of designing products around customer needs.

Chief Information Officer, Mr. Leopold L.L Armah also represented the bank on a panel discussion themed “Fraud Wars 2026: Winning Against Real-Time Crime, Deepfakes, Identity Abuse & Social Engineering.” 

He underscored the need for AI-powered fraud detection, industry-wide intelligence sharing and stronger collaboration among financial institutions to combat increasingly sophisticated cyber threats while maintaining the right balance between security and customer convenience.

The 2026 Money Aura Summit brought together senior executives from banks, fintechs, telecommunications companies, payment service providers, regulators, technology firms, cybersecurity experts and other stakeholders from across the financial services ecosystem to discuss the future of digital finance, innovation, cybersecurity and financial inclusion in West Africa.
