PBL Hosts Iftar for Staff to Promote Unity and Diversity

Prudential Bank Ltd hosted an Eid Iftar gathering for its Muslim employees as part of activities marking the holy month of Ramadan. The event created an opportunity for employees of diverse faiths and backgrounds to share a moment of reflection, unity, and appreciation.

Delivering brief remarks, Acting Managing Director Ebow Quayson highlighted the significance of Ramadan as a period of spiritual renewal, compassion, and forgiveness. He noted that the event was also a testament to two of the Bank’s values: respect and diversity.

Although a Christian, he noted that the core values associated with Ramadan – mercy, forgiveness, and salvation – are universal principles shared across faiths. He encouraged staff to use the season for reflection on relationships, friendships, and the value they bring to their families, colleagues, and the organisation.

Imam Abdul Fatawu Yusuf, Imam of Atomic Mosque and Deputy PRO, Ga East Council of Imams, emphasized gratitude and the importance of recognizing the opportunity to witness another Ramadan.

He noted that life is uncertain and that observing the sacred period is a blessing that calls for reflection, repentance, and renewed commitment to faith.

The gathering concluded with prayers for staff well-being, the Bank's growth, and peace and stability in Ghana. Participants shared a meal to break the day's fast, reinforcing the spirit of togetherness that defines Ramadan.
