Home Base Account

Cedi-denominated account for personal savings and/or fixed deposit investment.

The account is designed for Ghanaians living abroad who wish to build up funds in Ghana to fund future projects or to finance an eventual homecoming. Deposits should be made in foreign currency only. The Bank would then convert the foreign currency into Ghana Cedis at the prevailing exchange rate and invest the proceeds. Withdrawals and payments are made in Ghana Cedis only.

Requirements Needed in Opening Account

Kindly do well to have the following requirements:

  • Complete a Home Base Account Opening Form
  • Attach two (2) passport-sized photographs
  • Provide a valid Passport or overseas Driver’s Licence (with copies of relevant pages showing details of the holder, photo, expiry date, etc.)
  • Submit proof of residence (e.g. electricity, water, gas or telephone bill) not older than three months or a recent bank statement
