The account is designed for Ghanaians resident abroad who wish to build up funds in Ghana to fund projects or to finance an eventual homecoming.

It is a Cedi-denominated account for personal savings and/or fixed deposit investment.

Deposits are made in foreign currency only and will be converted into Ghana Cedis at the prevailing exchange rate. Withdrawals and payments are made in Ghana Cedis.

Requirements Needed in Opening Account

Kindly do well to have the following requirements:

  • Complete a Home Base Account Opening Form
  • Attach a recent passport-sized photograph
  • Provide a valid Passport or overseas Driver’s License (with copies of relevant pages showing details of the holder, photo, expiry date, etc.)
  • Submit proof of residence (e.g. electricity, water, gas or telephone bill) not older than three months or a recent bank statement
