Bernard Gyebi is a seasoned banking professional with 26 years of experience, having worked in all the core areas of banking in reputable banks. He was appointed Managing Director of Prudential Bank in February 2023, following approval by the Bank of Ghana. 

Prior to his appointment, he served as General Manager, Risk Management at Republic Bank (Ghana) Plc. During his tenure at Republic Bank, he was seconded for a period to the head office of Republic Financial Holdings Limited in Trinidad & Tobago, where he handled risk management assignments related to seven of the Group’s subsidiaries in the Caribbean. 

Bernard previously worked at Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB), initially as Executive Head of Credit Risk and subsequently as Chief Risk & Compliance Officer. Prior to joining ADB, he worked for Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited as Head of Credit. He also worked for Barclays Ghana (now Absa Bank of Ghana Limited) from September 1999 to December 2007 in various roles including Senior Credit Analyst (while on secondment to Barclays Africa head office in Johannesburg, South Africa) and as Head of Corporate Credit.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree with specialization in Risk Management & Investment from the Imperial College London, U.K., and a Post-Graduate Degree (PGD) in Corporate Management & Finance from the Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, France. Bernard also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi.

Ebow Quayson is the Executive Head of Retail and Commercial Banking, with oversight responsibility for the Distribution and Channels, Personal Banking, and Commercial Banking Departments. He brings over 26 years of banking experience across diverse roles.

Ebow has held prominent positions in several notable banks in Ghana, gaining invaluable experience along the way. His depth of expertise makes him a key contributor to Prudential Bank’s continued growth and success.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, and an Executive Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School.

Ebow is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), and holds certifications from the ICMQ – Securities Institute of London and the Ghana Stock Exchange. He also possesses an Advanced Public Relations certificate from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (now UNIMAC).

He is a regular speaker at the annual National Youth Summit and actively participates in various fintech events as a speaker and panelist.

Edward Amartey Commey is the Executive Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB). He has over 25 years of experience in local and international banking. His expertise spans key areas of banking, including Corporate & Institutional Banking, with a strong focus on client coverage and business development.

In his current role, Edward leads the Corporate & Institutional Banking Division, driving growth and providing strategic direction across various sectors, such as Power and Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Mining and Construction, Consumer and Soft Commodities, and Financial Institutions.

Edward has a proven track record of establishing and managing banking departments, including setting up a Corporate Banking Department and later leading an Institutional Banking division. His extensive experience in the banking industry has been instrumental in the origination and execution of significant transactions that have contributed to the business' growth and success.

He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School and a Certificate in Master Class, Strategic Management from the Graduate Business School, University of Cape Town, South Africa. Edward is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB), Ghana.

Felix Awuku is the Executive Head of Operations. He has extensive knowledge and over 22 years of experience in the design and implementation of banking operations processes and controls, as well as in driving operational excellence. 

In his current role, Felix leads the Operations team in driving operational efficiency and value-added initiatives, ensuring that branch operations and the overall operational architecture are robust and well-positioned to serve customers effectively.

Felix’s banking experience also encompasses IT-related projects and change management, risk, governance and controls, quality analysis and impairment modelling, internal account management, trade operations, and payments, among other areas. 

He is currently an adjunct lecturer at the National Banking College, with a focus on Operational Risk Management. 

Felix is an alumnus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Wisconsin International University College, and MountCrest University College.

Randal Ofori-Boachie is a Chartered Accountant with over 21 years of post-qualification experience in internal controls, auditing, finance, and risk management. He has worked with several reputable institutions in both banking and auditing before joining Prudential Bank LTD in 2024.

With more than 19 years of experience in the banking sector, Randal has held various key positions, including Chief Internal Auditor, Chief Risk Officer, and Director of Enterprise Risk at different banks prior to joining PBL.

He holds an MSc in Development Finance and a BSc (Hons) in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana. Randal is a member of the ACI Financial Markets Association and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Frank Kwabena Kommey is a finance professional with 16 years of experience in consulting and financial services. He joined Prudential Bank in May 2021 as Chief Finance Officer.

Prior to this, he held various roles in the banking sector between 2012 and 2020, including positions in Internal Audit, Custodian Banking, and Financial Control & Strategic Planning, ultimately rising to the role of Financial Controller. He also had a stint at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he served clients primarily within the financial services industry. 

Frank is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (FCCA). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana Business School and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of East London.

Leopold Armah is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at PBL, with oversight responsibility for the Technology, Digital Transformation (including the Customer Experience Centre), Information Systems Governance, and Projects Departments.

He brings over twenty-four (24) years of professional experience in delivering advanced solutions and implementing both technical and business strategies for leading organizations. He possesses a distinguished blend of expertise and a remarkable track record across the telecommunications, financial services, pensions, and insurance sub-sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

Prior to joining the Bank, he led the successful transformation of a bank’s Technology Group, shifting its focus from systems to business outcomes, and later established a Digital Banking and Alliance Division that earned multiple industry recognitions over an eight-year period. He also served as Head of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the SSNIT Informal Sector for four years, and spent another four years as an MIS Consultant on a joint Ghana–Canada government project. Additionally, he had a one-year tenure as Head of Information Technology (IT) at Unique Insurance Company Limited. 

Leopold holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in Information Technology from the Paris Graduate School of Management in France. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana.

Nana Offei Djan was called to the Ghana Bar in June 2003, having obtained his Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law. He has over 22 years of experience in both private and corporate legal practice.

He joined Prudential Bank in 2009 as a Legal Officer and rose to his current position as Head of Legal Services in July 2020. Prior to joining the Bank, he served for three years as a Legal Officer/Civilian Employee with the Ghana Prisons Service. He also had a year’s stint with Archer, Archer & Co. (Legal Practitioners and Notary Public), and three years with Messrs. Kye & Co. (Legal Practitioners).

Nana Offei holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Ghana.

Lilian Antwiwaa Asante is an experienced HR practitioner and lawyer with extensive expertise in labour, employment, and employee relations across various industries.

Until recently, she served as the Country People Lead for Accra Brewery PLC, a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABInBev), a role she held for approximately five years. Prior to that, she was the Legal and Compliance Manager for both Voltic Ghana Limited and Accra Brewery PLC when the two companies were subsidiaries of SABMiller.

Lilian also served as Head of Employee Relations for a multinational financial institution, where she gained valuable cross-border experience working across several African markets.

Earlier in her career, she worked at the Gamey & Gamey Institute, a specialized human resources and industrial relations consulting firm, where she provided training in arbitration, mediation, and negotiation. Lilian has also consulted for numerous local businesses and multinational organizations.

She has supported the National Labour Commission (NLC) as a mediator and arbitrator for over a decade and has practiced law at Jan Chambers, a boutique law firm.

Lilian holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law, and a Practicing Law License from the Ghana School of Law. She also holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agricultural Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Diploma in Business Practice from Henley Business School.

Mrs. Akosua Ampofowah Boahen has 29 years’ working experience, mainly in the banking and telecommunications sectors.

She joined Prudential Bank in August 2006 and has since held various roles in business development, marketing communication, and customer service. She was appointed Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs in March 2012. 

Prior to joining Prudential Bank, Akosua worked with the then Ghana Telecom (now Telecel Ghana) for 10 years, serving in various capacities including Programmes Manager, Commercial Manager for Fixed Network Services, and Senior Manager responsible for Customer Service.

Akosua holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (now UniMAC), a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences (Economics and Law) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
